Lesson Plan                                          Multiplication Bingo

 Grade: 3

 NE Standards

4.2.1 By the end of fourth grade, students will estimate, add, subtract, multiply,

and divide whole numbers without and with calculators and solve word problems.

 Objectives:

To follow directions

To use prior learning of multiplication facts to score a bingo

To have fun in math

 Materials:

Multiplication worksheet for each child
1 piece of construction paper per student
Pencil/Marker
Scissors
1 piece of notebook paper and pencil for teacher

 Procedures:

T: Give each child a multiplication worksheet and pencil

S: Complete worksheet as accurate as possible

T: Go over answers with students checking their own

T: Give each child 2 pieces of construction paper

S: Fold in half from top to bottom

            Again from top to bottom

            Fold in half from side to side

            Again from side to side

            Open paper and there should be 16 squares

T: Call out products of 16 multiplication facts, and keep a list for yourself

S: Write down each product in a different square

T: Using the list of 16 multiplication facts, call out the factors only

            Ex. 2x5

S: Must know the product, find it on their game board, and cover the answer

T: Continue to call out factors until one student gets a bingo

 Closure: Go over answers together as a class

Assessment: Make sure students have correct understanding of multiplication facts
