This treasure hunt discusses how and why weather does certain things. This treasure hunt is based for 2nd or 3rd graders. The questions on this hunt answer questions children may have about the weather outside. Below are the answers to our questions.

1. Temperatures below average with the incorporation of snow, wind and/or ice

2. Low temperatures, winds up to 35 mph, sufficient falling and blowing of snow

3. The mixture of hot and cold air together in a cylinder shaped cycle

6. Indian Ocean

7. Mainly the east coast

8. Aggregates of ice crystals that collect to each other as they fall towards the surface
