This April is nutrition month in our class room

Eating healthy is important while still young so that healthy eating habits will travel over into adulthood.
Healthy eating is important for healthy children and snacks make up a large component of what our children eat:

• breakfast burritos
• fruit yogurt shake with bran, oatmeal or whole grain muffin
• poached egg on a bun with glass of juice
• pancake crepe with sliced fruit and cream cheese (roll-up)
• mix: ready to eat cereal, dried fruit, pretzels, popcorn, nuts and sunflower seeds, milk to drink

Recycle! Recycle! Recycle!

Along with making our bodies better we are making the world a better place by practicing recycling.  We will be recycling:

bulletaluminum
bulletnewspaper
bulletplastic

Make sure that all items are clean. The students can bring items to the classroom where we will sort and place into bins.

Bring Sneakers

On Friday April 19th we will be cleaning up the field behind the school. Make sure that your child wears appropriate clothing for a day outside.

We are also going to be eating lunch outside if weather permits, so sack lunches will need to be brought that day.  Sack lunched can be bought from the cafeteria for $2.75

Reminder: PE days are every Tuesday and Thursdays so appropriate clothing are needed as usual for those days.

Thank You!

Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time at the annual spring festival last month. We couldn't have done it with out you.
