SETA stands for Student
Educators Technology and was held at CSM recently. I I attended two
presentations and learned a lot about integrating technology into the
classroom.
The first presentation was by the
keynote speaker, Tony Vincent. He spoke on the integration of handhelds. I
learned about the many different ways to aid in a child's education
experience. Sketchy, an animation program he spoke of, would be a great way
to get children excited about learning.
The second I attended was a
presentation on Kidspiration. This is a wonderful program for kids. They can
use it for outlining, illustrating, and countless others. I recently took my
Operation Smart girls to the lab, and they loved it!
The presentation I participated in
was on virtual tours. We spent fifteen minutes going over the main points of
how to reach these sites, and then showed a list of places they should
visit. The possibilities are endless on how to use this resource for
educational purposes.
