Objective

To obtain a Special Education teaching position.

To obtain a Teaching position for grades Kindergarten through Sixth.


Professional experience


August 2005 – June 2006          Swanson Elementary         Omaha, NE

Special Education Assistant

§     Worked with students both in the classroom as well as in the Special Education room as a small group or individual teaching time.

§     I helped to carry out lesson plans for a variety of children with a variety of needs.

August 2006 – October 2006  Swanson Elementary             Omaha, Ne

Special Education Student Teaching

§     I created lesson plans for all of our students based on the IEP goals that had been written.

§     I wrote and led an Individual Education Plan meetings

§     I worked with students in grades Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.  The students had a variety of disabilities and individual needs.

Second Grade Student Teaching

§     I created lesson plans for the whole class with accommodations for some students.

§     I taught the lessons to the class.

§     I helped create and apply behavior plans.
