Nebraska Educational Technology Association Education Majors had the opportunity to attend the NETA Conference, which was here in Omaha at the Holiday Inn on 72nd and Grover. To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to this experience. I assumed it would be over my head, and not valuable for where I am at now. I was incorrect, it was overall a fun learning experience. The Inspiration Workshop that I attended was interesting not because of the information given, but because of my knowledge on the subject. The areas that the two women touched on were things that I had learned from my Technology in the Classroom Class. I was really proud how far ahead of the crowd I was, along with my other classmates. It was encouraging to know that here at CSM, I am receiving quality training in technology. Another workshop I attended was on routers, and internet connections. This I found intriguing because she made it understandable for people like me. Afterwards I felt encouraged to be able to setup up a router myself, ha-ha, but I won't try that just yet. It was fun walking around from vendor to vendor to see what they had to offer the future teachers of America. It was also neat being around so many teachers, it was in a way, comforting. I highly enjoyed it, and I am so glad it was a requirement!
